Stay in the comfortable rooms at Suite Art Navona Rome and you'll have the Pantheon just a few steps away.
Best of all, it's a stone's throw from the iconic Piazza Navona, one of the city's landmark sights. In short, you get to stay right in Rome's historic center at an excellent price.
Why do we like Hotel Suite Art Navona?
- The price is excellent, and guests get entertainment activities, flat-screen TVs and free WiFi in the common areas.
- The hotel guarantees a good night's sleep with rooms fitted with soundproof windows and air conditioning.
- You can try Italian, Mediterranean and Roman specialties at Anni 60 restaurant, a few minutes' walk from the hotel.
2. Hotel Taormina

This hotel sits in the Esquilino neighborhood, very close to Roma Termini train station, which connects with Fiumicino Airport.
It's also barely 100 meters from Vittorio Emanuele metro station, just 4 stops from the ever-popular Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna) and a 15-minute walk from the Colosseum.
The spaces are simply decorated, with parquet floors. You can enjoy the continental breakfast served daily in the café, plus the bar with a terrace.
With a rating of 8.0 and average nightly prices under 100 euros, it's a good, affordable option, much like these cheap hotels in central Rome.
3. Hotel Romano

What guests praise most about the charming Hotel Romano is its location. It's close to everything! 250m from the Roman Forum, only 450m from the Colosseum and 600m from Piazza Venezia, one of the most famous squares in Rome.
The rooms are elegant and some come with a balcony overlooking the city's iconic monuments; the Deluxe Double Room is one of them. A good night's rest is more than guaranteed in the comfortable beds, ranked as one of the property's best features.
Getting to and from Hotel Romano is easy because it's very well connected to the public transport network, close to metro and bus stops.
4. Hotel Paba

Our second-to-last recommendation among 2-star hotels in Rome is Hotel Paba, also just steps from the Colosseum (500 m, to be exact) and superbly located, with Cavour metro station on line B just 350 m away.
It's an ideal area to stay in Rome. See more recommendations for cheap hotels near the Colosseum.
The hotel occupies a period building and has a carefully curated look, with wooden furniture and floors and an eye for detail. There are double, triple and family rooms, some with a balcony.
Breakfast costs extra and is served at a nearby café, though you'll find plenty of options for where to eat in Rome in the surrounding streets.
Two spots we really liked, both less than two blocks away, are Taverna Romana (Via della Madonna Dei Monti 79), a traditional trattoria serving classic dishes made with ingredients from local farms, and Bar La Licata (Via dei Serpenti, 165), where you can end the day over cocktails and wine.
5. Hotel Labelle

This hotel is in the central Monti neighborhood, 500 meters from Colosseo metro station (line B) and from the landmark that gives it its name.
It's on the third floor of a historic building, with spacious rooms ranging from doubles to family rooms, and pets are even welcome. All come with a coffee maker and everything you need.
Guests rate the breakfast at Hotel Labelle very highly, served at a nearby restaurant, along with the impeccable service and friendliness of the staff, who look after every detail.
