1. Argentina Residenza (Our pick)

Why do we like the Argentina Residenza?

1. From its design to its decor, the Argentina Residenza was created to give couples maximum comfort.
2. It's well located right in the historic center, a short walk from Rome's Jewish Quarter. The Pantheon is also just a few minutes away on foot.
3. Each room has its own individual design, and all are soundproofed, with air conditioning, WiFi and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.
4. In the mornings they serve a tasty buffet breakfast.
5. There's room service, and the property has parking and its own bar.

2. 7 Inn Spanish Steps

The 7 Inn Spanish Steps is a lovely, luxurious boutique property a short walk from Villa Borghese, in central Rome. Every room comes with an iPad and a mini bar with soft drinks and snacks included in the price.

When you book, be sure to specify whether you want a room with a jacuzzi or a hydromassage shower. Breakfast is served every morning at a café in the same building.

3. Relais Orso

The Relais Orso is another Rome boutique hotel we recommend. All the rooms are spectacular and some have a balcony, but the terrace suite with panoramic views and a jacuzzi is the best of the bunch.

The Relais Orso occupies a 17th-century family home renovated by Italian architect Danilo Maglio, who blended traditional and cutting-edge elements.

The Relais Orso is 300 meters from the Relais Arco della Pace, another of our recommended hotels near Piazza Navona in Rome, ideal if you want to stay right in the historic center.
